parking lot at the bottom of panorama bluffs nearest garces. come join us!

more and more athletes are showing up for driller summer training camp and many are related.

on thursday, two brother/sister combos came to practice for the first time. nick and natalia and audrey and anders. we also have sandy and her brother, the scrivano sisters, my sons and a couple of other sibling combos.

it is real nice to see all these families together!

today (friday) is an off day but we will be running on saturday morning at 8 am. next tuesday, is the third btc handicap race. click HERE for info.

this summer the team will be meeting at 7 pm at beach park to run most weekday nights. every other tuesday we will be running the handicap series.

new world record in the One Hour Run

The event was highlighted by the performance of Haile Gebrselassie, who set a new world record in the One Hour Run. The legendary Ethiopian star covered 21,285 meters over the course of 60 minutes to break the previous best of 21,101 meters by Mexican Arturo Barrios on March 30, 1991.

During his run, Gebrselassie also broke the world record for 20,000 meters in covering 50 laps in 56:25.98, well within the previous 56:55.6 also set by Barrios. A two-time Olympic 10,000m champion, Gebrselassie has now posted 24 world records during his remarkable career.

well today the team tried out yokuts park. i measured out a one mile course and the team did some one mile repeats.

the top guys did five repeats and the rest did three.

our girls looked real good btw.

Skateboarding goes for the gold
The sport is expected to be fast-tracked into the Olympics by 2012, but if snowboarding is an example, things might not go smoothly at the start.
