McFarland (Central) — Being put in the rare and awkward situation of being beaten by a Central Section rival at the state meet, Mc Farland — one of the sport’s rare dynasties a few years back — aims to rebound this fall. Not only do six return from last year’s fourth-place team at state, but they are rumored to have a very strong freshmen class.
