The 25th Annual Bakersfield Police Department “Memorial Run”
The 25th Annual Bakersfield Police Department “Memorial Run” was held at the River Walk Park (Stockdale Hwy & Buena Vista Blvd) oscar fuentes (east high) won the men’s 5k and Maija Rohde (csub coach) won the women’s 5k.
in the 10k, i dont know the 10k winners names but i believe erica silva (csub) came in second in the women’s race.
in the men’s race michael mccarthy (bhs) went under 37 minutes for 3rd place followed by his team mates at bhs. andrew ariey, andrew edquist and christopher anderson all went under 40 minutes.

2k fun run at 8:00 am and the timed 5k & 10k will start at 8:30 am. Registration will begin at 6:00 am. Registration forms received by 10/30 $20, and / or same day/late is registration $25. Awards will be given for top 3 winners in every category. The Law Enforcement category and winners for top M/F for 5k and 10k will also receive awards. This year promises to be bigger and better than ever before. Come celebrate our 25th year! In addition to a special t-shirt, there will also be 300 awesome bonus giveaways to the first 300 (so register early!). All of the proceeds go towards the education of the surviving children of BPD Officers killed in the line of duty. Please come out and show your support for this very special and worthy cause.
