    On Saturday, November 3, 2007, the Foothill Chess Team took first place at the first scholastic chess tournament in Kern County held at Stockdale Christian School. The team of Tim Muse, Chris Schwartz, Jose Montes and Saul Veloz won the high school section with only four players. They all played outstanding games! Tim Muse for the first time in his career won all five games and was the tournament top player. The team as a whole only lost four games in the whole tournament. This is the best start the Foothill Chess team has ever had. Please congratulate these students if you see them today.
