The goal of the Bakersfield Distance Project is to create a Group Running environment where almost anyone can improve their level of fitness and their running ability, and learn to incorporate running into their very own Fitness Lifestyle.
I have four three month long Run Camp sessions for $100. These sessions are Winter (January, February, March), Spring (April, May, June), Summer (July, August, September) and Fall (October, November, December). One can join at any time, and I will pro-rate the fees ($9 per weeks remaining.)
This program is designed to help you prepare for the distance of your choice by providing an outline for safe and effective in-depth training, tailored to your needs. Whether you are participating in your first race, trying a new distance, or trying to fine tune your performance, I have an option to suit your preference.
I have developed training programs for many race distances, with careful consideration of adhering to sound training principles. By incorporating gradual build-up of mileage, rest days, recovery runs, hard efforts/hill work and long runs, you will get to the finish line in fine form.
The Bakersfield Distance Project Training Plans provide customized training schedules for runners of all levels.
Most training programs account only for a person’s perceived ability without factoring their time goals, running history or lifestyle. The common result of this oversight? Increased risk for overtraining or injury. And unlike other programs, a coach is always available via e-mail or text if you need help or have questions along the way.
Lastly, the group dynamic of my run camps can not be overlooked. Everyone is very supportive of each other and are welling to go the extra mile for one another. Besides training together, we often race together as well and there is nothing like having a team to support and having the team support you at the race.
